THE DEVIL'S FORMULA

The Devil's Formula Image

"But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him,
Whence comest thou , Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither." 2 Kings 5:25

 There is a formula the devil likes to use. He used it before and is using it seriously today. It is a simple formula:
Liturgy+Lying==Leprosy.

                 Liturgy is another word for worship. It is public service or a worship of the gods. Serving God Almighty as a priest is a duty of Gehazi, the servant of Elisha. He has seen God's power at close quarters. He had every reason to be good as his master was. Whatever virtue we see in his life would not be a surprise because we do not expect anything less.
Unfortunately, Gehazi combined his Liturgy with Lying.

                    Lying is the act of making an intentional false statement; an untruth. It is something like what Gehazi did in the verse  above.
He just returned from a trip where he went to receive the gifts that his  master rejected from Naaman. Now standing before his master, see how he denies going anywhere. Gehazi's brazen lie did not go down well with his God and his master. His lie was uncovered immediately and he was pronounced a leaper for the rest of his life.

                      As far as God is concerned, all liars are leapers. Whether you are supposed man of God, child of God or friend of God, religious activity cannot go with lying.  A quick bible study will show that God will frustrate liars (Isaiah 44:25) and liars are devil's children (John 8:44). No liar will make heaven. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Challenge: A liar is not believed even though he tells the truth.
